An article that I have read about the now defunct Iraqi paramilitary force called Fedayeen Saddam. Fedayeen Saddam was formed by the order of Saddam Hussein by his son Uday Hussein to keep security within Iraq working, but this son would eventually just use the group for his personal uses and he would funnel weapons from the Republican Guard to the group. Later Uday would lose control of the group and Qusay Hussein would become the leader of the group. From there the group would become a sort of strong fighting force, being able to work in unconvential ways, and being filled with eccentric Iraqis would swore loyalty to Saddam Hussein and his Ba'athist Iraq. The group would be known for its brutality, using various forms of torture that I will not list here. The main topic of this thought was the extremely stupid helmets issued to members of Fedayeen Saddam. Darth Vader style helmets, put into use by Uday Hussein. Why? Maybe its stunning design and combat efficency? Hell no, UDay liked Darth Vader so they made the helmet a reality. Thats really something huh? Could you imagine a core part of your paramilitary force being from a fictional show you just like. Like really?. I'm sure some American troops really thought that those helmets were actual parts of their military and just happened to look like Darth Vader's helmet. Can't be dying for Saddam if you're not dripped out, right?
I have mostly read a article about Bashar al-Assad's life from Wikipedia, and one topic that I want to read into further would be that of Syrian Neo-Ba'athism. Ba'athism was originally an ideology that was actually an, well ideology, but slowely and very surley the Assad regime would just mold it into yet another way to stay in power. Political thought is a really good way to cover up corrupt political actions. Just as Stalin purged people to secure the radical communist state, Gaddafi using his international theory to deny his people political power, or just Bashar using the Ba'athist thought to crackdown on companies going against his rule. It is truley something that can not be forgotten when making a guide to keep power that one must make a radical ideology to cover up radical decisions. But a cover up ideology can not become too radical. Just as Mao's cultural revolution where mobs of students had the chance to take control over parts of China. In these radical cases of a population sees a leader as not radical enough then this ideology can turn on its creator/manager. Leading to it falling apart and causing chaos in the nation.
I was basically using this website as a sort of journal that I can write in from time to time, but recently I have actually began an actual journal on my iphone using the journal app, including my random political ideas and random thoughts about things at school. So this website will really just become a place where I can type my thoughts on the various topics in politics and history I read about during school. Soon to come articles might include things about Ba'athism, Turkish history and politics, and Bashar al-Assad and the Assad family in general. Thats really all for now. And I will not be typing and making as many thoughts as I have before. As my life has rapidly expanded socially so I have less time and want to do so. So thats really it. Who am I typing to? Who are reading these? I just think people stumble apon here and read nothing. If your reading this you could follow this site, maybe just for a week so I can see how many people actually read these things or just these. Alright goodbye now. I gotta be productive and finish my last minute Monday homework. (PS-I want to kiss the man that made Presidents day off. Or the woman. Preferrably a woman.)
One of the greatest parts of the school year is the few days we have half days. Half days are days where like the title suggests the day is cut in half. We get to only goto three periods, and from 12:05PM the day is ours to enjoy. I have not been posting as many thoughts recently due to various real life events. And me beginning my journal personally which basically does exactly what this does. But this is still a place I like to write since I know some people see it. I don't think anyone really missed me but alright. Maybe today during my free time I'll clean my desk, clean my room, add some things to Wikipedia which have been bothering the hell out of me (like how some anthems don't have english lyrics for people to use.) and maybe I'll even write a Wikinews article. I'll try my best and if I'll do I'll post it up on here for some people to give feedback. Thats really it. Goodbye for now, I got two more classes to goto sometime coming. (PS-We got a three day weekend too because of Presidents day. Thanks Presidents. Alright goodbye now.
Every single day I struggle with one of the hardest parts of every single day. The simple act of waking up. The complete lack of motivation I get when just laying in my bed is horrible. I just feel so comfy and heavy at that moment. Even when I get 8 hours of sleep I still end up struggling to get up. Sometimes I have good days were I just force myself to get up and I get ready on time, but like almost every single day when I goto bed I tell myself "I am going to actually WAKE UP and GET READY." But I get end up staying in bed a little too late. Theres not enough time in the morning just to sit around so usually I don't get ready fully. I should really start getting up faster huh? And I KNOW its not going to get better in high school. Goodbye now. I got a Monday to conquer.
Theres a math program we use on our chromebooks called Zearn. And boy it sure does suck. Zearn is nice compared to the before used program Dreambox in the way that it is directly tied to what we are currently learning in math class. But (mainly in the part of lessons called the Tower of Power) it treats you like your learning a language. If you get a word wrong in the sentence you restart it completely. If you get a problem wrong it has you do another math problem to try and help you. Then you restart the problem that you got wrong in the first place. Most people doing Zearn at the moment are not trying to actually learn the problem at the moment. They are trying to get it done. So it takes up to a couple hours in Zearn just to finish a couple lessons if you are too tired or thinking about more important things. Math is important yes. But certainly not the most important subject. Well thats another thought I could do sometime, which subject is the most important? Writing and reading. Its impossible to do math if you can't read. (At least not any important math. And if you disagree me then email me, check footer.)
Throughout the years of being within this school, there has been too many counts of students destroying parts of school property. And honostly I wish that there was a ring of snitching going on in this school. As long as those committing the literal crime don't know who is snitching then what can go wrong?. Let me give some examples of actual cases of school property being utterly being destroyed without remorse from those committing the crimes. The first example is from a couple weeks ago. Or maybe just one, I lose count. The long standing water bottle refill station within the 8th Grade building was knocked out of the wall. With it dangling out making it unuseable. Now it is encased within a trashbag with a sign reading "OUT OF ORDER, DO NOT USE". Well that sucks don't it? Like really, a kid committed this ACTUAL CRIME. Theres a camera right above where this happened, and I'm sure they caught the kid. But I have not seen any 8th graders expelled have I? (Why am I asking you, you don't know. Lol. No offense.) They need to be removing these kids from the school. Completely. Theres only 250 kids within the school, which might also help to explain how every one of these actions costs the school A LOT. And honostly I'm pretty sure that the school is not going to be able to afford to replace this fountain any time soon. So it might just become covered up. Which is really sad, I feel bad for the students ahead. Well assuming this school lasts that long. Another example is the school property being destoryed is one of the exit signs. In the hall where the refill station once was, one of those red text exit sign was dangling from it's foundation on the ceiling. Wires exposed. Im sure the school will have to fix this first before anything else as I assume that its a building requirment from the fire department that exits are clearly labelled. And again that might cost the school a ASS TON. (Pardon my French. hehe) And the last story that I will share in this thought because I will be running out of time soon is one that I literally heard this Period. Apparrently one of the kids that typically causes trouble throughout the school "Punched" the cameras infront of some of the classrooms. And seeing what has previously happened within these walls that does not sound super surprising. Like damn though, HOW DO YOU PUNCH A CAMERA?. Its not going to get better in high school is it?.
Like I have said previously our school provided chromebooks use chrome. (As said in the name) Lately Google Chrome has been HELLA SLOW. Pardon my French (I think its funny how we use that, I don't know the actual reason why we use that phrase but I like to think we use it because French is just such a horrible language.) but its actually agonizing how slow it is. It is actually PAINFUL to watch my background which is just a sink from Denny's for like 4 minutes. Reminds me of that one story about how a Pigeon was able to fly files over to another facility faster than how the actual internet service was able to transfer it. I get their different things, but it just reminded me of it. Theres like three other thoughts I want to write down right now, so I'll be writing that alongside these. I might also add an update where I but the posts from the last month in a seperate library so its just the most recent things on this front page. Who reads these anyway?
Its late at night right now. Just me and my school chromebook. "But why? Why would you be on your chromebook this late instead of just trying to go sleep?" Thats a pretty good question random reader. Its because of a science project. One were we must create a toy that converts energy in a certain way to one form or another. I gotta say yeah its a pretty cool project. But the thing that really sucks about it is it has me and my partner get materials from our homes. My partner created a
really cool and thought out design. But it needs the most random things. I don't just have a specific cat toy lying around. I don't even have cats. Nor do I have a tiny metal ball. Or PVC Pipe. (I'll be fair thats a more normal thing to have lying around, but you know. I Don't have that.) These projects just are the worst in my opinion. Yes their cool and all. But 1 DO NOT expect me to go buying the most random things on my very busy weekend. And 2 DO NOT expect my partner to be any different. I don't think I'll be doing good on this project. Ill write back here how it goes.
